Panache
FOOD FOR THOUGHT AT 1:42 IN ZE MORNIN’
Whatever it is you do, do it with panache. Live up to those titles you have—the ones people have given you and the ones you have given yourself—and live up to them fantastically. People are watching, but more importantly, this is your life. Live it with the enthusiasm that it deserves, and with the pride that you owe to yourself. Be real, love it all, and take in the bad with a grain of salt. Because even if today truly just really does suck, tomorrow might be better. Tomorrow you might meet someone absolutely incredible, tomorrow you might see something in a new light, tomorrow you might experience a new culture, tomorrow you might bake a cake that tastes like the rainbow. Or something like that. Whatever it is that makes you tick, make it tick, and all the time. If it’s having great conversations, seek out those conversations. If it’s picking daisies, pick more freakin’ daisies. If it’s dancing in the moonlight, go dance until the sun comes up. Keep your eyes wide open and never stop observing. When you sleep, dream with your eyes open, because even inception-layers deep, there are things so very much worth observing. Live and be alive and like it, because while tomorrow you may not be dead, someday you will be. And life’s just too goddamn short to let the bad get the best of you. So let life happen to you, but also take charge of it. Own it, y’know? Because it’s yours, it will always be yours, and it’s only you who makes the choice to love it.
They don’t teach this stuff in grade school.
